You CAN use your hot tub all winter long!
If you plan on using your hot tub during the cold weather seasons, you are better off leaving the tub in the standard mode. This keeps the spa at a consistant temperature. Also, most spas have a freeze protection built in so as long as the spa is turned on it will protect itself from freezing.
Please remember if you choose not to use your spa during the winter, winterize your hot tub or spa to avoid possible damage. There are companies that offer this service for a small price or you can do it yourself. Search for "winterize a hot tub" on Google to find out how to do this yourself.
